Configuring the Windows 2003 DNS Server

i thought to share the experience of installing a DNS in Windows Server 2003. As the starting point you have to install the DNS Services from the Windows Components.

The path you have to follow is this :

Start => Settings => Control Panel => Administrative Tools => Add/Remove Programs => Add/Remove Windows Components.

After that select Networking Services and click Details. Make sure to click Domain Name System (DNS) and click OK.

Once you finished installing the DNS via the Administrative Tools you can find the DNS Manager snap in as depicted below.

1. Creating a Forward Lookup Zone (please follow the screens one by one)

2. Creating a Reverse Lookup Zone (please follow the screens one by one).
